#23: finished

Well it was a long trip, hard slog, long haul, but i'm finally at the end...yay?
Some of the things were very time consuming, and some tricky to understand (needed help), but generally worthwhile.
Some of these things should be useful, to us and our customers. Bebo was my favourite, saw pictures of my daughter's friend's baby in Oz.

#22: NetLibrary

I took a look at NetLibrary. eBooks are an interesting idea but i'm not sure if they'll catch on, I prefer the real thing. the netlibrary range of books seems limited, couldn't find anything interesting.
kindle looks impressive, but not really my sort of thing.

Week 8: web 2.0 awards list

I had a look at http://www.peertrainer.com/. Lots of strange things, found some people also doing combat classes. Useful little site, diet tips, training and things like that.

podcast

Podcast is the word of the year for 2005 so they say but cant say I have heard it before.I found some things I was interested in but I suppose its the same as some books you read pages to find the small amount of information you need.Maybe this is like my garden a few lovely flowers and a lot of weeds .

Week 9:

http://youtube.com/watch?v=oJ1jIcJVu_4
Youtube is addictive, even my sons go on it. It has bad publicity about the violence that is on it but I could find stuff on Norway might go there one day. Have a white christmas rather than a wet New Zealand one.

# 17 sandbox wiki

Had a look around the sandbox wiki. people's style and methods are interesting. added my blog to favourite blogs, on top of the long list ^_^

Week 8: online applications and tools

It would be an advantage to be able to share with anyone some thing that you have written on Zoho writer.Especially as not everyones home computer has powerpoint. Also it allows people like me who take longer to edit the ability to do it at home rather than at work where time can be limited.

Week 7 Wikis

Welcome to wikipedia the free encyclopedia that anyone can edit... well I feel that information in an encyclopedia is accurate but if anyone can add to or edit wikis then how accurate are they?
I saw that in the Princeton Public Library index of reviews there were 57 reviews for Contempory fiction but only 1 for westerns, understandable I thought, but then I noticed that there was only 2 reviews for romances which are very popular at this library ... not worth reviewing? or so popular they dont need reviewing?

Week 6 Web 2.0, Libraries 2.0and the future of Libraries

The Future of Libraries seems to be computers. I agree with Rick Anderson that the idea is to spend as much time as possible reading and learning rather than wrestling with lousy search interfaces.Books might not be as up to date as the information available on line but they are there in your hand. Must be too old school or showing my age

week 6 Technorati

after taking the technorati tour I entered search term :Learning2.0 blog and got 5939 hits, then learning 2.0 tags got 2 hits as did learning 2.0 directory. I got the impression that my computer wasnt very impressed by Technorati as it entered sleep mode three times while i was in this site so I took this as a sign to exit.

week 6 Del.icio.us

This is not something that I would use.A filing cabinet that you can write your own tags for could be helpful to a lot of people im sure and it could be good to keep some things private from other people but unfortunately it is not something that I would use in my everyday working day and not something that I need in my private life. I did create an account and had a good look and realised its not for me
